"At one point in time immigration was a goal I wanted to achieve, however, after enrolling in the nursing program with EFE- Palestine my mindset has changed. Today, I look at education abroad as an opportunity to gain knowledge and return home as an active and productive member of the community”.
When Mohammad graduated from high school, he pursued his BA in Nursing from Al-Quds University back in 2019 and as soon as he graduated, he started searching for a job. Unfortunately, Mohammad was not lucky enough to find a job immediately. His hopes were still high to find a job, but the first couple of months were very hard due to the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic (COVID-19). Thus, he decided to search for any job, including those not relevant to his field, until he was able to work in a café. A few months later, Mohammad was surfing Facebook, and he saw the Nursing Program “when I first saw the advertisement I did not think twice to register” he said. He adds, “I wanted to improve my soft skills more; and what encouraged me even more to register is the 3-month internships EFE-Palestine provides for youth once the training is done.” Mohammad feels lucky to have taken this course with EFE-Palestine. He believes that the nursing program has taught him quite well on how to work within a team, how to communicate better, and how to have a better time management. In addition, what was great about this course is that it emphasized the courses he has taken at university as well as taking the ACLS and BLS certificates.
