Saja Abu Amouna
"I have always heard about EFE Palestine and its strong training programs. I had always wanted to apply to one of its trainings, but the trainings were not always in my field of specialization." When Saja saw this training in particular, she felt that it was suitable for her field of study, although it was slightly different from the field of work she had previously worked in. “Hence, I decided to apply for it”. Saja attended all trainings, including life skills training and technical training in the field of communication. She then received employment soon after with Reach Communications, a partner of EFE Palestine. Saja encourages EFE Palestine to strengthen its relations with universities in order to increase the number of trainings to accommodate a larger number of trainees and graduates in one year. "Graduates should undergo training as it teaches them how to write a CV, which is the most important for entering the labor market, in addition to time management and communication," she says. She adds, "There are no trainings that resemble those of EFE Palestine, the training was vital and rich in information, as well as interesting and not boring at all despite the number of hours of each training." Saja added that although the training was long, she did not feel the time pass as the training was fun and interactive. She concludes by saying “I thank the EFE for giving me this opportunity, as I would have never been able to have this job without them, and I am happy with this job.”
Saja Abu Amouna studied English literature at Birzeit University and graduated in 2016. She has since worked in several places and held several positions such as public relations, written translation, communication, and others. In 2020, she was forced to leave her last job for reasons beyond her control. She searched for many jobs without success until she saw an EFE Palestine advertisement for professional and life skills, funded by the GIZ, to which she applied for.
